Scitec Warrior Juice

Overview
Here’s what Scitec have to say:

WARRIOR JUICE protein is a 50%-50% fusion of high-quality milk proteins and popular extra free amino acids fortified with more than the 100% RDA of Vitamin C per serving! Our protein blend is half Whey Protein and half undenatured Micellar Casein (instead of denatured, lower quality Caseinate)! This makes WARRIOR JUICE a well-balanced, versatile formula that can be used any time: before and after training, during the day, and before going to bed.

Dietary proteins are the source of nitrogen and indispensable amino acids, which the body requires for tissue growth and maintenance. WARRIOR JUICE protein contributes to the maintenance and growth of muscle mass and also to the maintenance of normal bones. That’s why it’s a great supplement to your regular eating regimen either when dieting or when trying to gain maximum muscle mass!

First up it always annoys me when the scoop serving size isn’t a whole number. I don’t want to be guessing my nutrients. Asides from that though its business as usual. 20g of protein is on the low side but with low carbs and fats it’s not difficult to double up.

The protein itself being made up of a 50-50 split between fast and slow digesting means you could use it between meals, as a protein spike before a workout or my favourite before bed.

Taste
I had Strawberry and it is a frighteningly bright pink colour. Once you get over that though it is a nice thick creamy flavour. No mixing problems in a standard shaker, no lumps in sight!

Side Effects
None

Price
£24.69 for a 900g tub with 30 servings in.

Results
Scitec have made my job rather easy. It tastes great, has no side effects and its fairly priced. The protein content is slightly low but because using ¾ of a scoop annoys me so much I actually nearly always used a full scoop which then gave me 25g of protein. Solved 2 problems at once. The carbs and fats have been kept very low which will help those of you on tight MACROS. Sugar is slightly over my ideal 1g limit but only just.

The selling point of Warrior Juice is the 50-50 split and it works great. It means that you can use it at any time of day, except maybe post workout you would want a higher calorie shake with fast digesting carbs, but for between meals and before bed its great. It keeps you full for a good few hours, good news if your next meal isn’t as close as you’d like!

A high quality, good value and versatile protein shake is fairly tough to come by but by splitting their proteins between fast and slow digesting Scitec manage it. 8/10
