24g’s of protein is more or less standard
for a Whey Protein shake, the Carbs, Sugar and Fats are low which is a good
sign. This is shake to build into your diet to assist you in hitting your
Macros. It's not a Mass Gainer or a Diet protein but an "all year round" protein that'll assist your goals no matter what they are.
Taste
I used the Strawberry flavour and it was
delicious, it was smooth and always mixed perfectly. It wasn’t sickly and it doesn’t
have a nasty aftertaste. I used double servings and that also mixed up well. I
used samples of the Chocolate and Vanilla and both were nice but Strawberry was
my personal favourite.

Price
£48.99 for a 2.25kg tub which has 75
servings in which sounds pricey but if you break it down its only £0.65 a
serving which is actually pretty good.
Results
Protalean Whey Protein 8.0 is actually a very good product. Asides from having quite a cool name Protalean’s Whey actually has a lot going
for it, its boasts a good protein amount, nice low carbs, fat and most
importantly very lower sugar. The Strawberry flavour tastes very nice and has a
nice consistency and mixes easily. In short it does everything you want a whey protein
to do. It can be added into your diet regardless of what cycle you are on, if
you are cutting then the low carbs and fat are great, if you are bulking then
the respectable 24g’s of protein are going to assist in hitting your daily
protein goal and building that muscle.
I only really have 1 minor issue and that’s
that you don’t know the exact breakdown of the protein, you aren’t told how
much of that 24g is Whey Concentrate, Isolate and Hydrolysed. This isn't really
going to be an issue for the majority of people but I’m always curious.
The price point may put some people off but
it shouldn’t because Protalean have a Money Back Guarantee which is always reassuring also they offer samples so you can always try before you buy.
The bottom line it’s a good product and
since Protalean are relatively new to the market I can’t wait to see what else
they can do. 7.5/10
