Overview
Beef
is an acknowledged protein source among experienced athletes. Usually proteins
are enzymatically cut up to obtain bioavailable peptides. BEEF AMINOS’ peptides
are produced NOT by using chemicals, but instead pressure is used to obtain
optimal hydrolysis of the fresh, hormone free raw beef material. The result is
excellent digestibility, solubility and absorption!
BEEF AMINOS provides a “peptide spectrum”: about 15% of its peptides have a molecular size of 6,000 Da, 55% are in the 3,000 Da range and a total of 30% is in a “super peptide” form with a molecular weight of 500 Da or below. With the smaller "pre-digested" peptides critical recovery after training will be achieved faster and so will be a positive nitrogen balance since the protein does not have to be digested into smaller sizes. This allows for rapid repair of damaged muscles, as well as more efficient muscle hypertrophy during the anabolic growth phase.
Our formula provides all the 9 types of essential amino acids. These are indispensable, because they cannot be synthesized by the body and therefore must be supplied in the diet. Real beef protein contains all these essential aminos, including Tryptophan and they are not just added later – many times companies use collagen protein instead! The consumption of aminos in peptide form is highly efficacious around workouts!

4 tablets to take before your workout, can
be taken after but I think before is better.
Think of this as a BCAA tablet or intra
workout drink then it’ll make more sense to you, its purpose is to speed up recovery
and increase protein synthesis which should lead to increased muscle size when
used over a long period of time.
Taste
Don’t worry they don’t taste like beef. The
tablets don’t have a taste but are a little powdery.
Side
Effects
None
Price
£14.88 for a tub with 50 servings in.
Results
I like all of Scitec’s Beef range I think
it makes a good change from Whey. Beef Aminos can have a place in everyone’s
supplement regime but I personally feel they are most suited to a mass gain
phase rather than a cut.
If you aren’t currently taking a BCAA
supplement of some kind then you’ll notice a major difference in recovery and
muscular endurance but if it is just a straight change from normal BCAA to Beef
Aminos then you won’t notice a great difference.
I like to vary my protein sources, chicken,
beef, fish, egg, milk, even occasionally soy and everyone accepts the benefits
of doing so but when it comes to protein shakes the majority of people seem to
stick to whey. I can virtually guarantee that none of you have considered
varying your BCAA source. I think that Beef Aminos are an excellent addition to
a supplement regime and whilst they may not completely replace standard BCAAs
as your primary source you should definitely consider them. 8/10
