These smoothies come in 3 flavours and all
differ slightly in nutritional breakdown, mostly the carb/sugar content depending on
what fruit juices are used.
Although the protein content matches a standard protein shake make no mistake this is a smoothie and it does have fruit juices in not just
flavourings. That’s one of the main reasons the sugar content is quite high in
some flavours. 26.4g of protein is excellent for a smoothie – the protein
mainly comes from Whey Concentrate.
Taste
We tested a case of all 3 flavours:
Raspberry and Blueberry – my personal
favourite, really refreshing and not too sweet.
Pineapple and Coconut – absolutely delicious,
perfect straight out of the fridge on a hot day.
CNP have really nailed the flavours of
these smoothies, all 3 of them are amazing. Easily some of the best tasting RTD
shakes I’ve ever had.

Results
These aren’t a traditional protein shake,
this isn’t a post-workout this is a treat. When you are on a strict diet I can’t
think of many better ways to cheat clean than with a Pineapple and Coconut
Smoothie straight from the fridge. These would make a great addition to a
healthy breakfast as well, 26g of protein is a respectable amount in any meal
and if you combine this with CNP High Protein Porridge Pot then you have an
amazing healthy breakfast.
The Sugar content of the Orange and Mango & Pineapple and Coconut
flavours might scare of the beach body chasing people out there but the
Raspberry and Blueberry only has 3.6g of Sugar which is much more manageable.
These smoothies are a little more expensive
than I was hoping but if you use it as a treat not a daily shake then it’s much
more acceptable. I certainly plan to always have a case of either the Raspberry
and Blueberry or the Pineapple and Coconut in the cupboard to bring out when I need
to break the diet and keep my cravings under control. 9/10
