Overview
Here’s what The Protein Drinks Co have to
say:
Go large with Ufit Pro50, a protein drink
like no other! Ufit Pro50 has been designed for those who require a little bit
more from their protein shake with a whopping 50g of protein in each bottle.
What’s more, Ufit Pro50 is naturally rich
in essential amino acids, the building blocks of your body. Essential amino
acids cannot be produced by your body, meaning they must be obtained from foods
and drink. Amino acids can also help prevent the breakdown of your hard earned
and essential muscle tissue.
Ufit Pro50 has also been further enhanced
with vitamins and minerals to keep your hard working immune system strong,
ensuring you stay in peak shape and on top of your day whether you’ve got a big
day at the office or a big session at the gym.
Ufit Pro50 has also been specifically
designed to be low in fat and contains only natural, low GI carbohydrates and
no added sugar. Unlike most other 50g protein shakes, we really focus on making
sure you get more of the good stuff and less of the bad whilst still keeping
our drinks incredibly tasty!
Ufit can either be used as one big 50g
serving for those who require a bit more or alternatively you can use it over 2
or 3 servings due to the screw top bottle and you’ll still get over 15g per
serving!

This shouts post workout to me. 50.2g of protein
along with 17.2g of fast acting sugars to help with recovery. You get a good amount
of Glutamine with Pro50 as well, if it had some Creatine in it could almost be
classified as an all-in-one.
The fat content is a little higher than I like
from my shakes but its manageable.
Taste
I’ve tried both the Strawberry and the
Chocolate and whilst I preferred the Strawberry the Chocolate was very pleasant.
These are much better straight out the fridge, they are fairly thick and
resemble a milkshakes consistency. You’ll need to give it a shake in the bottle
but it always was mixed to perfection. No sickly aftertaste either and it didn’t
taste chemically at all.

Results
Ready To Drink formulas always suffer a little bit
nutritionally and usually work out more expensive than a powder but that’s the
price for convenience. It really was awesome to come home from the gym and find
the shake ice cold in the fridge ready to drink, especially after an arm
workout no-one wants to be mixing up a shake.
They have really nailed the taste and consistency,
it was much better than I was expecting. I’m not a fan of Chocolate shakes but
this was exceptional. I could drink them everyday and not get tired of it.
I think this product is geared towards the
weekend warriors in the gym or people who casually play sport looking for a
recovery shake. Coming in at £3.75 per bottle you wouldn’t use this as your
main shake or even your main post workout shake it would simply be too
expensive. If you go to the gym once a week or play football on a Friday night
then yes I can imagine you wouldn’t mind breaking the bank for a UFit Pro50 –
still cheaper and infinitely healthier than a pint. UFit Pro50 is actually very
good for recovery and does really help with DOMS – unless its leg day it which
case nothing can help you – which is why it’s a shame its so expensive because a lot of
people won’t get to try it. UFit Pro50 is very good and it would probably
score around an 8 or higher if not for the price but I just can't justify £3.75 a serving. 5/10
as of writing (29th october 2015) this is £1.87 from Tesco, possibly elsewhere too but not looked.
