The Protein Bakery Review

Overview

Here’s is a brief synopsis of what The Protein Bakery is all about:

PROOF IS IN THE BAKING

We've found the secret to happiness: Balance. And now we are bringing it across the pond!
So, we know the value of weights and measures. We chose the name Protein Bakery for a good (and healthy) reason. Muscle-building protein is a huge component in all our delicious cookies, brownies, and blondies. Protein makes you feel fuller faster and prevents spikes in blood sugar levels. It's one way to keep the heart beat steady and the body in balance. Every delectable, guilt-free bite is high in dietary fibre, low in gluten, and delivers up to 5 times more protein than the average baked treat.

Our trans-fat free, preservative free, and wheat flour-free recipes are also nutritionally balanced. We combine natural ingredients like heart-healthy rolled oats, light brown sugar, and the finest chocolate. We bake small batches from scratch every day with the same attention to perfection as we did on day 1 in November, 1999 in the USA. Our healthier flavours of creative culinary confections boast gourmet accents like swirls of rich peanut butter, tangy cranberries, toasted walnuts, sun-sweetened coconut, and so much more. We can't wait to see what we bake up for the UK and beyond.

Be happy—add balance to your life every day!

So as you can see we aren’t talking mega protein quantities but enough to make a dent in your Macros. As much as I’m sure we’d all love to scoff a brownie every day these aren’t supposed to be eaten regularly, they are a treat and should be treated as such. These are supposed to help you cheat clean, you can stay on your diet whilst indulging your sweet tooth. There is still a fair amount of Sugar in some of these (obviously) which although isn’t the rubbish stuff you’ll find in a Gregg’s cupcake still won’t help you much on your cutting phase.

Results

Healthy cookies, brownies and blondies what could go wrong? Nothing that’s what! Every single one of these treats is amazing. They are perfect in everyway. They all taste pretty damn great but let’s run through them one at a time:

Cinnamon Cashew Cookie – Slightly doughy, you can really taste the cinnamon and the cashew gives it a nice texture and a bit of bite! The cookies stands up well to being dunked in a coffee as well, which I think is important…
Oatmeal Ginger Raisin Cookie – It’s soft and just a little crumbly, the ginger gives it a nice little bit of spice, this is the most filling of the cookies, the 2 cookies you get in a packet is practically a meal.
Chocolate Chip Cookie – Soft and moist with an oaty texture, it has a strong chocolate flavour, this one really takes the edge off your sugar cravings!
Chocolate Chip Brownie – Slightly cakey texture, very chocolately and probably slightly too big, its really filling, I would recommend cutting it in half and having it as 2 servings.
Walnut Brownie – Soft and moist with a lovely taste and texture. The Walnuts added a nice layer of flavour. It’s incredibly filling. This is also the snack with the highest amount of protein in.
Black and White Blondie – Damn this one was nice, it’s sweeter than a normal sponge, it was soft and perfect. The chocolate chips were evenly spread out and there was just the right amount of them.

The hardest thing I’ve had to do in quite a while is rank these 6, it’s an impossible and thankless task because they all deserve at least a top 3 spot! Here we go:

6) Chocolate Chip Brownie
5) Cinnamon Cashew Cookie
4) Chocolate Chip Cookie
3) Walnut Brownie
2) Oatmeal Ginger Raisin Cookie
1) Black and White Blondie

I cannot recommend the Protein Bakery enough, yes it’s a little pricey but dieting is hard enough as it is so treat yourself to some guilt free deliciousness. If you haven’t tried them before then give it shot and your life will never be the same. All the of the products reviewed really did taste just as good , in most cases better, than there unhealthy counterpart, there is now exactly zero reasons to ever pick up an unhealthy treat again! 9/10
