Overview
Here’s what Scitec have to say:

When you train or are engaged in physical activity and you reach a certain intensity, your body and blood “heat up” so you can work more efficiently. Our HOT BLOOD 2.0 complex pre-workout formula is carefully designed to support your body in physical activity, especially during high-intensity training!

Our 5 component, multi-creatine matrix is 4500 milligrams and provides - among others - the most studied Creatine form ever! Creatine in this dose is scientifically proven to increase performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise like weight training and interval cardio!

Many of our select ingredients contribute to one or more of the following beneficial physiological effects.
- Normal muscle function.
- Normal functioning of the nervous system: neurotransmission and muscle contraction including heart muscle.

Unfortunately Scitec don’t give exact breakdowns of how much of each ingredient is used which I never like.

The actual ingredients themselves are fairly standard apart from the Multi-Creatine Matrix which has 5 different types in ( I suspect the bulk of that is from Creatine Monohydrate) but it is a nice addition.

Taste
Preworkouts never taste that great, lets be honest we don’t drink them for the taste. I had the Orange flavour and it  tastes OK, it was a little “gritty” near the bottom every time. Not too bad though, I didn't dread taking it.

Price
£14.99 for a 300g tub containing 15 servings. So at nearly £1 a serving its not the cheapest out there but it is competitive.

Side Effects
None, some preworkouts can upset people’s stomachs but this had no unpleasant side effects.

Results
This is a great preworkout. There is no doubt about that but it is an unusual one. With most preworkouts you feel the buzz of energy within 15-20 minutes and you are ready to rip a dumbbell in half. With Hot Blood you don’t get that, what you do get is a nice, clean, steady supply of energy, I never felt like I could up my bench by 100KG but I never felt tired at the end of my workouts. The energy almost sneaks up on you, you don’t know its there and working until you finish your workout and realise that you dominated it. There is no horrible crash 2 or 3 hours later, there is no evidence that you had a preworkout other than the smug satisfaction of conquering your gym. I can’t for the life of me work out how they have managed to make a preworkout this “invisible” its in the background working away and you don’t even know it. What you will notice is that your muscles feel warm, like you have already done 3 or 4 sets, don't skip your warm up but you'll certainly find getting started is much easier.

You don’t get a massive skin tearing pump with it but you do get a nice tight feeling.

This is a very unusual preworkout but it is a great one, it has virtually no faults and I love the energy boost that it gives you almost without you noticing it. This can be used by anyone who wants to smash through a workout without a nasty energy crash later in the day. 9/10
