So lets address the first issue that everyone is going to notice yes in this post workout you only get 11.9g of protein and 14g of Carbs. We’ll come on to this a bit later.
The rest of the formula looks good with Glutamine, BCAA and Beta Alanine being included to help with recovery mostly.

Taste
I had the Deluxe Chocolate flavour and it tasted fine & it mixed up well, I tried it with double and triple servings and so long as you increase the water they mixed up fairly smoothly. In normal servings you don’t get any grit or lumps and there is no nasty aftertaste.

Side Effects
None

Price
£34.99 for a tub with 30 servings in.

Results
This shake is called Super Gain – this is definitely not a mass gainer you only get 108 calories in a standard serving. It is geared more as a recovery shake but to make it useful you have to take a double serving to give you just shy of 24g of Protein and 28g of Carbs otherwise you’ll need to take a protein shake with your recovery shake which is just plain silly. Now I have no problems with taking double servings of products – usually to help me hit high macros – but I don’t see the point of a protein shake with only 11.9g of protein in.

Whilst this recovery and muscle building products lack of protein and carbs confuses me if you double up the servings then it’s actually quite good as a recovery product. Ideally this product would be a “triple serving” then you could begin to call it Super Gain but as it is I’m afraid 11.9g of protein isn’t going to cut it for anyone.

The cost of the product isn’t bad for a recovery or gainer but that’s at a single serving rate say you double every serving then you need to double the cost so it becomes £34.99 for 15 servings. It makes it a more expensive than a dedicated gainer or recovery product.

I might be wrong and there might be people out there who need an 11.9g protein, 108 calorie shake but I haven’t found any. If you double up the shakes then its actually a decent recovery product but it then becomes rather pricey. I think Super 7 is a bit of a misstep in an otherwise very good range from a good company. 5/10
