There are 3 flavours (original, apricot, super fruits) all have slightly different breakdowns so if your macros are tight then make sure you double check before you buy.

12.5g of protein is fairly low but as an “on-the-go” breakfast it’s actually quite good. The protein is from milk  powder and whey isolate. Most of you will have noticed the sugar content and it is quit high so this probably won’t be on your list of approved foods when cutting but for bulking or maintenance cycles it would be more acceptable.

The fat is kept low by using skimmed milk powder.

Taste
We had a case of the Original and Super Fruits to review and both tasted very nice but it’ll take you a few tubs to work out the right consistency. The recommended level of water made it too thick for my liking I ended up adding quite a bit more than suggested to get it just right. I found the Super Fruits in particular to be excellent I thought it tasted great and the little bits of Raspberry made it even better.

None

Price
£15.00 for a case of 12 so £1.25 per serving.

Results
If you have time to have breakfast at home in the morning then this probably won’t be for you, CNP haven’t made porridge better they’ve just mad it more accessible for people who are pressed for time in the mornings.

The Nutritional Information isn’t as good as porridge you make yourself but is much better than you could buy in a shop. That’s really what this product is competing with shop bought ready made breakfasts and frankly CNP is better in everyway than a porridge you could buy from a coffee shop. It’s better for you, it tastes better and its cheaper. At £1.25 per serving CNP beats any option I’ve seen on the high street.

If you’re looking to look after your body on the road or with early mornings in the office then this can easily be made in a hotel room or at a desk in the mornings. I actually used it as part of my post workout/breakfast as that’s when my body could use the carb content most effectively. CNP and Team Sky have made an excellent solution to “no time for breakfast” excuse you hear so often as people tuck into their third McMuffin of the week. CNP High Protein Porridge is a great choice for a ready made breakfast on the go. 8/10
