I love how transparent PNI are being. They don't hide behind "blends" they tell you exactly what’s in it down to the smallest detail. They are so honest that they even list the servings per container as 25.9 and not 26. That is rare in the supplement market and is to be applauded. As for the actual ingredient breakdown 27g's of protein is pretty good, sugar and fat content is refreshingly low as well.

The main weight loss ingredients are:

Acetyl-L-Carnitine - proven weight loss ingredient, fairly common and very effective

Green Tea Extract - again common and effective ingredient, PNI have opted for the EGCG extract which is better for fat loss so that's good

Coenzyme Q10 - this is what sets Lean Shake Plus apart from the pack. You don't see this is supplements often at all, I suspect because it’s expensive! CoQ10 has a myriad of health benefits but what I'm most interested in is the claim that it signals the body to use body fat as fuel.

All in all it looks like an excellent weight loss shake.

Taste

The Vanilla Delight flavour is perhaps the nicest tasting shake I have had, it’s perfect, wouldn’t change a damn thing! It mixed perfectly, smooth and creamy but not overly sweet. I have also tried the Peanut Buttercup and whilst is was very nice it didn't hold a candle to the Vanilla flavour.

Results

PNI are on to a winner here and if you haven’t tried it you need to. This is perhaps the nicest tasting shake I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried an awful lot), I’d drink this as a treat, PNI have made dieting easy. Lean Shake Plus isn’t a chore to drink it’s a pleasure. The real question though is will it help your diet or cutting phase? The simple answer is yes. I used this at all times of day, mostly because I wanted another one. When I used it as a breakfast it kept me full until lunch without any problems. When used post workout, which isn’t this products primary function, it works very nicely the 27g helps with recovery and assists in keeping muscles from being broken down and used for fuel whilst on a low calorie diet. When used with a good diet and exercise plan this will help you shift some serious weight. In particular I recommend this being taken at breakfast time to set you up for the day.

PNI claim this is The Greatest Diet Shake in the world. Bold claim but I can see why they think that. It’s damn near perfect. 9/10
